The one style trick that every Norcal girl has mastered to the tee is the knack of smart layering! I live out in the SF Bay Area, where its much warmer than in the city. So when I visited the city for the first time I was so under prepared – the San Francisco wind literally “blew”me away! But now, after a few visits to the city , I have my layering game mode on! For this outfit, I chose to play around with a couple of basic casual pieces – a bodycon striped dress, a grey tank and a denim jacket – boom! It does not get more basic than this. IMO, these are 3 essential pieces that you definitely need in your closet and can choose to style each of these individual pieces in a myriad of ways. To be uniform, I kept all my accessories black. And to add a fun pop to the outfit, I wore my rosegold sling bag that paired so perfectly with the rose gold buttons on my denim jacket.
These photos were shot by the fab Ryan Chua from ryanbyryanchua. I have been a huge fan of Ryan’s work since forever, and I was so fortunate to have got the chance to work with him for this fun shoot! If you cant tell from these pictures already- he is an incredibly talented fashion and streetstyle photographer and has worked with tons of big bloggers. I had the best time with Ryan shooting these photos as well as exploring his neighbourhood in SF.
