3 ways to style a silk wrap as a coverup

Every week I have the midweek blues – making me want to move back to the weekend asap! We have been making the most of the summer by heading to the beach every other weekend. Both Anush and I are quite the beach bums – any excuse to have our toes sandy and salt in our hair and photos of course ;). I wore this gorgeous black L’space high waisted suit while we were at Santa Cruz a few weekends ago. We even saw a school of dolphins right by the shore while shooting this! It was SO amazing to see these beautiful creatures so close to us in their wilderness. Anyways coming back to the suit, this was the first time I was trying the high waisted fit in a bathing suit. Although this retro modest fit looks good on most bodies, in my opinion I think it is perfect for those body types who might want a little extra coverage on the bottom. I never found any hight waisted fit that looked good on me, but I like this contemporary black one as it doesn’t bunch up weirdly at the waist and has the flattering crisscross pattern on the side and at the center of the bandeau top giving the suit a daring, yet flattering look.

Love this tie-dye silk scarf/sarong by Lov project. As you know I absolutely love a versatile piece and this one is such a great piece to own. I decided to show you 3 ways you could style it as a beach coverup!

Look 1 : Casually tie it around your waist as a sarong.

Look 2 : Halter dress coverup. For this look, you would have to tie it at the bust, and then tie it around your neck at the back and voila! This would also look so fab for a pool/beach party.

Look 3 : Wrap around top. For this you would start by letting the scarf hang from behind your neck. Wrap one side over one bust and then the other side over the other bust an then tie at the back , if that makes sense?! Wear this as a top over high waisted shorts or a skirt.

You could also just wear this as a scarf or wrap over the shoulders in the cooler months.
