My husband and I had a quiet Christmas and we drove upto our favorite place – Santa Cruz to spend the evening watching the sunset from the cliff and we were also really lucky to see whales ! After moving to the west coast, I have seen whales and dolphins almost EVERY time we have gone to the beach, and so close to the shore, its really unbelievable! Its so amazing to see these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. This is the season that the beautiful North Pacific whales migrate to the west coast, so spotting whales off the coast is quite common if you have a keen eye.
I dressed up in multiple boho layers to keep warm while still look chic for the occasion. I started off with this fab slip halter dress by Band of Gypsies. This little silky number is super hot by itself, and you bet Ill be bringing it out to play again by itself when the weather warms up. I threw on a warm neutral cardigan over this dress and finished off with a cozy blanket poncho. If you might remember, I wore this poncho in the fall . This beautiful piece is reversible and can be worn either way you wish. I finished off the look with a hat, tall boots and gorgeous silver-turquoise statement earrings.
