So excited that the 4th of July long weekend is finally here! I am totally looking forward to kicking back and relaxing this weekend. We plan to stay local, since we have a bunch of trips coming up the rest of the summer. One of my favorite things to do on any summer weekend is setting up a beach picnic! My Beachbrella umbrella is always in the trunk of my car ;); and so this past weekend we decided to ring it out to play. We carried a yummy to-go lunch from our fave – Dad’s Luncheonette in Half Moon Bay ( highly highly recommend this place to those visiting the area!) and having it on the beach to enjoy the gorgeous afternoon.
Gingham is back in style and a hugee trend this season! And it could not be more perfect for a picnic, don’t you think! I wore this fun Gingham bikini from Show Me Your Mumu . I love love the flouncy off the shoulder top that can also be worn over denim shorts as a cute crop top. The bottom has these cute side ties which adds to the flirty vibe of the set. You could also try pairing the top with a high waist bottom instead for a super cute retro look. This print comes in a ton of other styles, including this gorgeous lace up one piece suit which would also double up as a bodysuit with shorts. I loved how the set matched perfectly with the pink Cuppajyo hat !
After our picnic, we were headed out to meet some friends directly for dinner so I slipped on this adorable shell print dress also from Show me your Mumu. I wanted to be a little more dressy for dinner, so I decided to swap the swim + shorts for a fun dress. This romantic chiffon dress was so perfect cos it was neither too dressy nor too casual; and still had the beachy vibe to it which complimented my windswept hair so well. The print also comes in other versions including this beautiful summery kaftan.
